I was supposed to be working on more pillows over the weekend, but I failed miserably. Instead, I spent a lovely, sunny Seattle Saturday going to fabric stores. My friend and her mother were searching for toile to match the quilt I made for the baby shower last weekend. Unfortunately, I had purchased the toile out of town about a year and a half ago, and we were unable to find it anywhere in Seattle. However, the trip wasn't a complete failure. They found some toile with a nursery rhyme theme that will look perfect in the nursery. I also had some success finding a few fabrics I liked, and I couldn't resist. I also found some ribbon I absolutely adore, and I can't wait to put it to use.
I LOVE the pear ribbon!
So tonight is Halloween, and since I don't have children of my own, Eric and I will be staying home and hoping to see some trick-or-treaters come by the house. Last year I think we had a total of 5. We're hoping for a better turn-out this year, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Instead, I'm sure we'll both end up eating way too much candy and enjoying the sugar high.
